This interesting furniture was designed by Philippe Nigro, its a piece for a Milano based company called Comforty. Found on Mocoloco, this unusual cushioned floating sofa was suspended by a steel tube exo-skeleton frame for an intriguing visual effect. Resembling a giant spider web, the frame system is both modern looking and appealing, but not so practical in a contemporary home, due to the enormous space it occupies.
Artist Sebastian Errazuriz came up with an interesting idea for a bookshelf. Seen on Designboom, ‘Metamorphosis’ is a hand carved furniture piece, made from baltic birch plywood and resembles a giant tree branch with many ramifications. Suited for books and magazines, the unusual shelving unit can also be used for storing various objects; it is all up to the creativity of the owner.
